Who doesn't love to travel? Typically if you ask someone what it is they would prefer to be doing with their life, as opposed to working all the time, they say TRAVEL. Well duh! We all want to have the freedom and cash-flow at our fingertips, enabling us to jaunt off in any direction we please at any given time. This is a given. Life would be awesome if we could come and go as we please, with no financial headaches whatsoever. Unfortunately this is not a reality for most of us. When it comes to traveling, we don't do it on a daily or weekly basis, unless it's work related. When we do head for uncharted territory it's commonly called a vacation. Sadly this only happens once or twice a year. Now, obviously when we head away from the states, we should always be prepared. This means quality and reliable travel protection. Is your travel insurance up to date?
The one time I decided to head out of country and overseas was back in 1994. I was a fresh high school graduate with relaxation on my mind. My best friend, who was originally from Taiwan, wanted me to fly with him to his home country for two months. SURE, I thought. What an adventure this would be. Needless to say, at the tender age of 18, travel protection was the last thing on my mind. After all, the young are basically invincible. Anyway, we headed out on that fun and exciting, yet incredibly long, international flight. Once we arrived in Taiwan, it was a great relief to be grounded. We began exploring the rural streets of this island country. What a culture shock it was. Soon enough we were lounging in a Taipei apartment. My buddy's uncle wanted us to stay with him. All seemed good as we frolicked in his community swimming pool. These were essential in this blistering hot climate. To my surprise, the following day I was in desperate need of some travel protection. I'm talking medical insurance. I had one whopper of an ear infection from that swimming pool. Lucky for me, my buddy's uncle took me to the emergency room, had me checked out and acquired medication for my affliction. He paid for it all. Wow, was this guy cool!

No doubt, to a man of sense, travel offers advantages. As many languages as he has, as many friends, as many arts and trades, so many times is he a man. A foreign country is a point of comparison, wherefrom to judge his own.

It's doubtful that you'll be vacationing in a foreign land, and some stellar individual will assist you with medical financing. I was one of the lucky ones in this respect. Take necessary precautions with travel protection insurance before you head out of the states.
