Our great nation is loaded with wonderful sites to see and places to visit. From Charleston, South Carolina, to San Diego, California, to Boston, Massachusetts, the list goes on. But, if there is only one major city you plan to see in your life, I suggest you look into New York City travel. The Big Apple has it all. See the epitome of the American city and enjoy its endless amenities, while scrarfing down the best pizza on the planet. Sorry to offend all the native Italians out there, but New York pizza is the BOMB. Now your only question is; where should you stay and what sites are mandatory in Manhattan?

You won't have to look far if scouting out a swank place to stay in New York City. Think the Crowne Plaza hotel in Times Square. This fine lodging puts you smack-dab in the middle of Manhattan so that you can venture out and see everything New York City travel has to offer. Now, some may find this hotel a bit on the expensive side, but have no fear. There are plenty more to choose from. Simply hop on your PC and you'll soon find out. With websites such as Travelocity at your disposal, you'll certainly spot a reasonably priced hotel that suits your liking. But, always pay attention to what part of New York City you're looking at. Most likely you'll want to stay in Manhattan. All travelers should be cautious of the bad areas. Avoid placing yourself in a foul part of the city just to save a few bucks. Your safety is worth the extra cash.

 Historical Quote
Yes, but I do not travel to find comfortable, rich, and hospitable people, or clear sky, or ingots that cost too much. But if there were any magnet that would point to the countries and houses where are the persons who are intrinsically rich and powerful, I would sell all, and buy it, and put myself on the road to-day.
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

Don't forget to see the amazing landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty while enjoying New York City travel. And for all you ladies out there, try to remember this is the fashion capital of the world. Every hip boutique and shoe store you can ponder is located in downtown Manhattan. Browse through these unique shops while you can. You'll surely want some apparel or a handbag to show off to your friends at home. And finally, if you're indulging in New York City travel, you'd better not leave that place without trying a hotdog. The street vendors there sell the best franks on the planet.
